Best of 2010......

Well 2010 brought us Colin. We thought we would share how much he has grown and changed since May. This past year has been so amazing. We have been up to the following:

Colin was born, grown, grown and grown, learned to roll over, learned to sit up, introduced baby food, went on runs with mom, had his 1st 4th of July-Halloween-Christmas and everything is a 1st. Won the baby contest, learned to like his car seat, no longer has to be wrapped like a burrito to sleep, and of course show off his dimples. Oh and Mike and I both celebrated a birthday and Mike did his big bike ride in St. George. But all of our life and time is Colin and we love every minute. Mike is running his 1st half marathon this weekend. It will be a great accomplishment and beginning to 2011.

Time, Time, Time.....

Wow! Where does the time go? Today Colin is 6 months old. I can't believe that it has already been 6 months since he was born. We are loving this stage. He can sit up....not unattended though. He smiles all day at his 6 month check up you would have thought the doctor was his best friend.....that changed after the shots! We haven't been up to much, life changes a lot when you have little one. Mike had a scan and it came back clear. Sigh of relief....each check up we worry that we wont get good news but with lots of prayers and faith we have had yet another good scan. They are going to now do chest x-rays, blood work, and an ultra sound every other check up. Which is good news the scans are a little hard on the body to have every 3 months. I am extra grateful as the holidays start for Mike and that he is healthy and here for Colin and I. We are truly blessed and now as we approach the year mark for Mike I can't think of anything more than to be grateful. Life is great and we love being parents to Colin!

September has come and is going. It seems like the months are just flying by. In September we celebrated Mikes birthday, went camping, Colin had his 4 month check up, got a jogging stroller, Mike went on a boys trip to the football game and spent every waking moment with our little Colin. Here are just a couple photos of what the Sorensen's have been up to.

(Colin has to make sure I don't leave his side so he keeps his hand on my shoulder) Momma's boy!!!

Colin loved the running stroller and his BYU hat!

Colin played around in this basket for a little bit...until he found his hands they are far more interested than any toy.

Hanging out at Wasatch with family!

4 MONTHS and growing....

We had our 4 month check up with Colin yesterday. All is well, he is a very healthy, happy baby. He may have a larger head than the average baby but it is still very cute....just more to love right? He is a growing boy and seems to get bigger and bigger each day. We love his thick legs and his gut that hangs over his pants. Here are a couple of pictures of our handsome man. With out fail everyone says he looks just like his dad or his papa Sorensen but the doctor did say he would probably have brown eyes.....the only feature from his mom!

Just about ready to play in the johnny jumper.....maybe a couple more weeks until he knows what to do when he is in it
Getting ready to go out on the boat with Grandpa Parker

Hanging out with gets kind of boring sometimes as you can tell in his face

playing on the floor with dad at night before bedtime

Colin doesn't suck his thumb just two fingers

Just about to try rice cereal for the first time

Hanging out in his robe.....bath time is one of our favorite things to do

Just chillin around the house with nothing to do but smile!

Toddlers and Tiaras

I felt like a pageant mom last week. I got this great idea to put Colin in the baby contest. Of course we think he is the cutest baby around so why wouldn't anyone else? Well when I got to the baby contest I realized everyone in the room thought they had the cutest baby....that's when the guilt started setting in. I was about to make someone judge the "beauty" of my baby to win a medal? After standing in a what seemed to be a giant sauna/gym for an hour to be judged and get Colin's picture taken we went home. I continued to have some guilt the rest of the night until the next morning when we found out Colin won 1st place with a cash prize and would be in the Spanish Fork parade. Watch out other moms, that's right I have the cutest baby in town!!! Okay, so it's probably the last baby contest I will enter Colin in but Colin did win and he was so good during the parade he finally crashed on Uncle Curty after showing off his good looks to the town. Way to go Colin!!!
