Toddlers and Tiaras

I felt like a pageant mom last week. I got this great idea to put Colin in the baby contest. Of course we think he is the cutest baby around so why wouldn't anyone else? Well when I got to the baby contest I realized everyone in the room thought they had the cutest baby....that's when the guilt started setting in. I was about to make someone judge the "beauty" of my baby to win a medal? After standing in a what seemed to be a giant sauna/gym for an hour to be judged and get Colin's picture taken we went home. I continued to have some guilt the rest of the night until the next morning when we found out Colin won 1st place with a cash prize and would be in the Spanish Fork parade. Watch out other moms, that's right I have the cutest baby in town!!! Okay, so it's probably the last baby contest I will enter Colin in but Colin did win and he was so good during the parade he finally crashed on Uncle Curty after showing off his good looks to the town. Way to go Colin!!!

DIMPLICIOUS......

Colin showed his dimples off to us the other day! Never mind all the funny nosies and baby talk Mike and I were doing to get Colin to smile this big. We must have been making pretty big fools of ourselves! Thank heavens we dont have a bootielicious baby but a dimplicious boy!

Rock a bye baby....

I know I should have posted pictures of our finished babies room before Colin arrived but I didn't get around to it. When I was picking up the house the other day I thought Mike and I both worked hard to finish Colin's room so I should show it off especially for all the hard work Mike put in to help get it done.

I made the bedding....SURPRISE! I'm not one for projects but I couldn't find anything I wanted to buy in the stores so I decided to make my own. I wanted it to be super simple. We went for an antique baseball look for the theme of the room. We are hoping Colin doesn't hate baseball when he is old enough to realize how his room is decorated.

You probably can't tell but in the three red frames are a picture of Colin's Grandpa Parker, Papa Sorensen and Mike playing baseball when they were little boys (this is my favorite part about his room).
Mike painted the room, put up the railing on the wall, put the glider chair together and hung all the pictures on the wall. He only managed to almost take his eye out with a nail once. It turned out just how I wanted it. Hopefully this doesn't bore everyone too much but I had to show off our handy work....it's pretty limited in our home.

2 Weeks.....

I know it has only been two weeks but I thought I would share a couple pictures we have taken of Colin for anyone who is interested. He really doesn't do much but eat, sleep, and poop. But we still find him very interested and love everything about him. We still can't decide who he looks like but each day he changes so we will just wait and see if he is a Sorensen or Parker look.

This is a super funny face but he thinks he can already hold his head up so we had to take a picture.

We are looking forward to sunshine so he can wear his summer clothes even though they are still too big for him! He is wearing a pair of shorts but they are almost to his armpits and they still go to his ankles.....not much hope for height on this guy.

On your mark get set GO....

We....meaning Mike has ran his first run of the season. Due to my "hangover" in the front I was un able to run the race but this did mean we could finally get some pictures at the end of a race. Most the time Mike and I are both running in the race so we never get pictures. The Sorensen family all went to St. George for the weekend to run in the race and enjoy the sunshine. We had a great time and look forward to going every year!
